ZOKU
Creative Brief
OBJECTIVE
Create an aesthetically pleasing isometric illustration of a unit sampled from Zoku. This will allow better visual description of the compartmental and compact space. It will also include the in-unit amenities and rental options available to guests.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The “Traveling Professional”. Anyone who wanders for work rather than recreation, or perhaps a combination of the two. The traveling professional requires a clean, quiet place to relax and work.
TONE
While the shared social spaces at Zoku are homey, bright and busy, the private spaces are clean, minimalistic, and distraction free for the guest.

Creative Process
The simplest way to display as much of a Zoku space in one image is to create an open cut away of an isometric digital illustration. I researched minimalist designs with flat graphic elements, which I found visually appealing and interesting, yet simple enough for the viewer to easily navigate and interact with it.
Drawing out isometric illustrations is a little tricky at first if you’re accustomed to drawing in regards of true perspective. But once the foundation of the illustration is down, it’s simple, as there are no variations in angles, no vanishing points, or horizon lines to render.
